Prep for Profitable Printing with On-Board Primer

The LEF-200 features an optional on-board primer* cartridge for priming objects quickly and conveniently on a selection of different media substrates. Users can easily prep an object for customization – printing Primer ink directly from a file in VersaWorks Dual RIP before printing the full-color graphic. This makes adding graphics to challenging materials much more clean and efficient.

Includes New VersaWorks 6 RIP Software

VersaUV LEF series printers includes new VersaWorks 6 RIP software, featuring a new HARLEQUIN dual-core engine for faster previewing times and improved handling of PDF and EPS files, including files with drop-shadows and transparencies.

In VersaWorks 6 you can automatically generate White, Gloss and Primer layer directly in the RIP software with a Special Color Plate Generation feature. Users can also rotate, set spacing and Maintain Clip Position within the RIP to give you more control when printing graphics and applying Gloss Ink effects.

Roland VersaWorks 6 also offers a host of advanced features that include five print queues and five hot folders— combined with the ability to store unlimited queue settings and native 64-bit processing that enables users to nest up-to 86 jobs and other increased capabilities.

Energy Efficiency

The LEF-200 uses an LED for UV-curing that last up to ten times longer than conventional UV lamps and can be instantly switched on or off, giving the user true on-demand production without the typical warm-up time. In addition, the LEF automatically enters a low-power mode when it is not used for an extended period of time.

Ink Flexibility, Efficiency and Consistency

Printing around the most complex corners and curves, advanced Roland ECO-UV® inks enable printing on a vast array of shapes and surfaces. The LEF-200 also features an Automated Ink Circulation System that prevents ink pigments settling in the ink lines
for consistently brilliant image quality with smooth consistency and density, even on long print runs.

Mist Filters

To ensure optimum print quality around the curvatures of objects, mist filters are incorporated in the LEF, catching the residual ink that mists when printing off the edge or curvature of a product. This cuts down on overspray and keeps the ink from settling on the printer’s internal components. Filters are designed to be easily replaceable by the end user.

Rotaprint

Printing white and CMYK onto bottles and cylindrical objects is an absolute snap with the new RotaPrint attachment for the VersaUV LEF-200 flatbed printer. Simple to install and remove, it utilizes the LEF-200’s existing feed system and enables the LEF to print cleanly and precisely onto a wide range of materials with a diameter between 1.6 to 3 inches (40 mm to 77 mm).

With its sturdy build, RotaPrint is also consistently and reliably accurate, ensuring precise stepping during rotation.

Roland Intelligent Pass Control

Roland Intelligent Pass Control controls dot placement between each pass to enable the LEF-200 to produce smooth gradations and outstanding solid colors – with faster throughput and excellent image quality in every print mode.

OnSupport Assistance for Unattended Printing

Roland OnSupport sends e-mail or smart phone alerts to inform users of low ink or when a job has been completed for unattended, worry-free printing.
