Motorola Canopy systems are total broadband access solutions designed for extending networks wirelessly to provide broadband services to virtually any customer in virtually any environment. These systems provide wireless Ethernet connections which can be used to transport voice, video and data in channelized or unchannelized formats. Modules are available to support Line of Sight and Non-Line of Sight point-to-point links and point-to-multipoint last mile access solutions. With a broad array of Backhaul, Access Points and Subscriber Modules, these systems can be configured to meet the current and future needs of business and residential network users.

Canopy™ Lite Subscriber Modules (SMs) are designed to help network operators convert dial-up subscribers to broadband simply, quickly and profitably. The Canopy™ Lite SMs work in concert with the Canopy Advantage Access Points and deliver speeds of 512 Kbps throughput with 768 kbits burst and a maximum of 100 Kbps full duplex Committed Information Rate (CIR). These SMs offer substantially lower costs with the same high performance, reliability and interference tolerance for which the Canopy systems are renowned.

Easily integrated into your Canopy network, Canopy™ Lite SMs are highly scaleable. They are available in the 2.4, 5.2, 5.4 and 5.7 GHz frequency bands. In addition, they can be software upgraded to add incremental throughput (to 1, 2, 4 or 7 Mbps) quickly and economically.

The Canopy® 400 Series from Motorola delivers Near Line-of-Sight (nLOS) and Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) connectivity, coupled with high throughput, increased range and exceptionally low cost of ownership.

High-speed wireless broadband connectivity is fast becoming the preferred communications system for enterprises, municipalities and service providers all
over the world. Some users or subscribers, however, have remained out of reach literally because they are out of sight—due to lack of Line-of-Sight (LOS) link
paths.

Now, with Canopy 400 Series Access Points (AP) and Subscriber Modules (SM), those out-of-sight users can become top-of-mind, offering increased opportunities for new productivity and new revenue streams. In addition, along with nLOS and NLOS wireless broadband access, the 400 Series also provides the Canopy system’s highest throughput for longer distances.
